How SpotMyLost Works
SpotMyLost is designed to make the lost-and-found process simple, safe, and community-driven. Whether you have lost an item or found something, this guide explains exactly how to use the platform.
If your item is missing, the first step is to check whether someone has already posted it.
- Open the Browse Reports page
- Select your city or nearby location
- Choose a category (Wallet, Mobile, Documents, etc.)
- Check the list of found items
If you find a wallet, ID card, phone, keys, or any personal belonging, you can submit a report easily.
- Go to the Submit Report page
- Enter item details, location, and your contact number
- No documents or proof uploads required
- Your report becomes visible instantly
Before returning an item, always verify that the person claiming it is the real owner.
- Date of birth (for IDs)
- Father’s or mother’s name
- Last 4 digits of card number
- Unique scratch, sticker, or mark
- Where the item was last used
Recommended public locations:
